Dr Gaulthier Tshibindi

Dr Gaulthier Tshibindi is an overseas trained doctor from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He completed his advanced training in Rehabilitation Medicine from the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine of the Royal Australasian college of Physician. He trained as epidemiologist from the University of Newcastle. He worked as medical officer at the ACT government health services at The Canberra Hospital and the Calvary hospital Bruce. He worked as lead physician with the Intensive Rehabilitation team at The Australian Defence Force up to 2020. He is currently involved in private sector as medical practitioner in various institutions.
In recent conferences, he spoke in 2014 about the epidemiological aspects of this Ebola outbreak in 2013-2014 in DRC and some western african countries. He highlighted the reason that this outbreak was different from the other Ebola outbreaks that Africa has known. He went on to comment on whether this Ebola is still an epidemic or it has now become endemic. Dr Tshibindi also touched on the consequences of this Outbreak in children who have lost one or both of their parents. In 2017 He also spoke about things that the international community need to know about source of their mobile phone, the coltan/cobalt mines and millions of death in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) since 1994 to now.
As philanthropist, his aim is to improve the health of people living in poverty in Africa by promote health, improve statistic of maternal and infant mortality and malnutrition of children under 5 years of age. He aims to partner with the African governments , international communities and local non governmental organisation ( NGO) to improve the sanitation conditions of people and to invest more in activities that improve health care delivery in Africa.
